Hoffses reporting Montel Harris to Temple

According to Eagle Action reporter Eric Hoffses, Montel Harris is transferring to Temple. Despite some speculation, Harris did graduate from BC (enabling the transfer). The move reunites Harris with his former Offensive Coordinator Kevin Rogers and former BC assistant coach Ryan Day. I don't know how healthy Montel's knee is but I hope he has a strong season. He deserves it.

Looks like BC is back in the BigEast after all.

"Teagles"?

"Temp BC"

??

"Boston Temple"

??

Certainly will be rooting for most if not all the folks who took part in the mass exodus.

The way he was treated - public finger pointing - makes me very angry. I hope he has an outstanding season at Temple, and that his knee holds up.

I don't like the way in which this was handled, either. Admittedly I don't have the facts, but BC could have done much better in this matter.

I wonder why so many people were claiming that Montel did not graduate? It doesn't make any sense.

The rumor comes from the fact that he was not listed in the commencement program nor in the BC alumni directory (while LeGrande, OO, etc are...)

How can he play for Temple then?

I saw a report that there was confusion in that he was listed in the commencement program as:

"Montel Harris Jordan"

his full, legal name as registered, one must assume.

Montel Harris Jordan

Sure BC did not handle the departure correctly. They (gDF and Spaz) had to denigrate Harris. This is The current regime's Disgraceful M.O.

And that is not in keeping with BC values or basic notions of decency . Agreed.

But I will not be rooting for Harris. He turned his back on BC. He walked away from his teammates, from his fans, from his coaches. He wanted to leave.

By the way, I think this "Russell Wilson" rule/ stratagem is awful for NCAA football.

Your points are well taken, Mod.

Russell Wilson was an exception. These types of moves don't always work out for the player who leaves, that's for sure.
