Another title for Women's Hockey

Forget about Football and Basketball for a minute and be thankful we still have BC Hockey. The Women continued their amazing and still undefeated season by winning the Hockey East Tournament. As an added bonus, they beat BU in the Finals to win it all.

They now enter the NCAAs as the No. 1 overall seed and a heavy favorite. Congrats to Coach Crowley and now go get the big title!

Spot on. How many teams in any sport can finish a season undefeated at 38-0? Its an extraordinary achievement and should not be overshadowed by anything. Even though they have had a history of frustration in the tournament - all you can reasonably expect from a coach is to put your program in a position to win championships. And Coach Crowley, to her extreme credit, has consistently done that over and over. At this stage there is not much more she can do. Let's hope her team can find that inner something, make their luck and deliver a championship for their deserving coach and, most importantly, for themselves. In any case - championship or not - this was an amazing accomplishment. Ever to excel!

Saturday's game will feature the two best players in women's hockey, Alex Carpenter and Kendall Coyne (two of the three finalists for the Kazmaier Award, the women's version of the Hobey Baker).
